Lizki ist das Soloprojekt der Songwriterin und Sängerin Lena Britzelmair, die sich im elektronischen Bereich zwischen Alternative Pop, Art Pop und Hyperpop bewegt. Ihr Sound ist durchzogen von verschiedenen musikalischen Brüchen, die angenehm irritierend sind und zusammen mit ihrer markanten Stimme zu eingängigen Songs verschmelzen. Ihr Debütalbum Forward wurde Ende 2021 auf Seayou Records veröffentlicht und von Plattentests als “Tanz auf den Ruinen“ beschrieben. Musikalisch wird das umgesetzt durch brachiale Synths, Instrumente, die bis zur Unkenntlichkeit verzerrt werden, die meist ungreifbar und wabernd sind, während die Vocals teils mit Effekten überladen, dann wieder intim, ungefiltert-verletzlich den Kontrast dazu bilden. Lizki ist ein Act, der musikalisch oft schwer zu verorten und gerade deshalb so interessant ist. Die neue EP ist ein weiterer Beweis dafür und dies möchte sie uns im Herbst 2023 auch live zeigen.

Lizki is the solo project of songwriter and singer Lena Britzelmair, who moves in the electronic realm between alternative pop, art pop and hyperpop. Her sound is characterized by various musical breaks that are pleasantly irritating and, together with her distinctive voice, merge into catchy songs. Her debut album Forward was released at the end of 2021 on Seayou Records and has been described by record reviewers as „dancing on the ruins“. Musically, this is realized through brute synths, instruments that are distorted beyond recognition, which are mostly intangible and wafting, while the vocals are sometimes overloaded with effects, then again intimate, unfiltered and vulnerable to form the contrast. Lizki is an act that is often difficult to place musically and that is precisely why it is so interesting. The new EP is further proof of this and she wants to show us this live in the fall of 2023 live as well.
